|Description:||Social workers often have to undertake assessments of children and their families who are living in poverty. To help improve the consistency and quality of these assessments the Government introduced the ‘Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families.’ This e-learning resource aims to demystify the complex framework which has many dimensions quite off-putting to social work students and practitioners alike. Users can explore the framework and then with the help of Barbara, a virtual social worker, users can use the framework to assess a family, which will both deepen understanding of the framework and help users to understand the needs of children and families living in poverty.|
